WildWishesSeveral children were able to fulfill a life-long wish today when they released a sea turtle into the ocean. Reannah Hollaway from Woodlands, Texas and Lauren Scott from Spring, Texas visited the Amos Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) at The University of Texas Marine Science Institute today as part of Wild Wishes®. Wild Wishes® is a run by Kingdom Zoo Wildlife Center and grants exotic animal encounters for children who have lost a parent, sibling or have a terminal illness. Reannah has cystic fibrosis and Lauren recently lost her father. They both have a special infatuation with sea turtles and made the journey to Port Aransas today. “We like to say that hurting children are helping hurting wildlife,” said program founder Chester Moore, Jr. This was the 63rd wish that the program has been able to grant. Kingdom Zoo Wildlife Center also donated $100 to the Amos Rehabilitation Keep to help rehabilitation efforts of sea turtles.
