Island Science Day

Island Science Day

Celebrate 83 years of marine science with us at Island Science Day on Saturday, October 12th from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.! At this open-house style event, you'll be able to take boat rides, go on interactive field trips, learn about the work UTMSI scientists are doing, and more. All events are FREE, but you are highly encouraged to make a reservation to secure your spot for the activities with limited occupancy.

Location: 855 East Cotter Ave, Port Aransas, TX 78373 (Please note that not all activities are held at this location. Check the activity descriptions for more details.)

 

Free to public but registration required for certain activities.

Activities include:

* boat rides aboard the Curt Johnson, and the Mustang dolphin watch boat

* guided walking tours at Wetlands Education Center, Fisheries & Mariculture Lab, UTMSI campus and other walks and tours

* lectures by renowned scientists and speaker

* kid activities, beach clean up, food court, live music, and more
