San Jose Island Cleanup – Rescheduled to 05/16

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO SATURDAY, MAY 16 DUE TO WEATHER.

Join the Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve and the Surfrider Foundation-TX Coastal Bend for another beach and jetty cleanup on San Jose (St. Joe’s) Island on the rescheduled day of Saturday, May 16th! We will meet at 8:30 am at Fisherman’s Wharf in Port Aransas to take the jetty boat across to the island.

Bring your sunblock, a hat and a refillable water bottle. The boat ride is free for volunteers and we will provide gloves, trash bags, snacks and cold water to refill your bottle.

Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and make a difference. Last year, we removed about 1,500 pounds of trash including 3,000 plastic bottles!
