March 14 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 am
Join us on the beach at Marker 35 as we celebrate the successful rescue, rehabilitation, and release of several green sea turtles. After receiving care and treatment, these turtles are ready to return to the Gulf, and the community is invited to help send them off on the next stage of their journey.
This free public event offers a unique opportunity to witness the final step in the rehabilitation process and learn more about the efforts to protect and conserve sea turtles along the Texas coast. Photography is encouraged, and we invite attendees to share their photos on social media and tag us. We recommend arriving about 30 minutes early to secure a good viewing spot.
Friends of the ARK will be on site selling shirts and other items in support of sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
To access Marker 35, enter the beach at Access Road 1 (Palmilla Golf Course), turn right onto the beach, and travel south for approximately one mile.
