The University of Texas Marine Science Institute’s Animal Rehabilitation Keep (ARK) will be releasing 15 sea turtles back to the wild at Marker 35 on Mustang Island Gulf Beach at 10AM on Saturday, April 16
th . The turtles include several green sea turtles, a rare Kemp’s Ridley and a Hawksbill and a very large Loggerhead that was entangled in fishing line. The public is invited and judging by previous turtle releases the ARK has done over the years, this event will provide a big thrill for the onlookers, especially the children. Marker 35 is about one mile south of Gulf Access Road #1 (by the Golf Course bridge over Highway 361) in Port Aransas.
