Hands-On-Habitat

Come and explore our unique “Wetlands Education Center” right here in Port Aransas. We will venture on and in between sand dunes, learn about our salt marshes, and experience hands-on excitement with animals and plants.

Sat., August 13

What is a Watershed?”

There is water all around us, in the bays, lakes, and rivers! Where does it come from and where does it go? It moves through our environments, taking everything on the land with it, including pollution. We will take a closer look at a watershed model, and also make our own, so that we can learn how to protect our watersheds.

Location: The University of Texas Marine Science Education Center, 855 East Cotter Avenue, Port Aransas, Texas 78373
