Habitat balance is essential to our bays and estuaries that lead into the ocean. Sargassum seaweed is just one important nursery habitats for young fishes, crabs, shrimp and other invertebrates, as well as endangered sea turtles. On May 13th join UTMSI scientists as they share their research about these floating nurseries and what impact the Deepwater Horizon Oil spill had on them. This unique hands-on experience will make you love science too. We hope to SEA you there!
