Dr. Brad Erisman’s work is showcased in AlertDiver magazine

b2ap3_thumbnail_Moondance1.jpgDr. Brad Erisman’s spawning aggregation work in Palau has been featured in the current issue of AlertDiver magazine in the article entitled “Moon Dance.” The article is written by Dr. Erisman’s collaborator and professional photographer, Richard Barnden. It gives a diver’s perspective of the amazing two-spot red snapper (Luptjanus bohar) spawning aggregations that occur during the full moon phase in Palau. Check out this story to learn more about how tens of thousands of fish form tight tornado-like columns all for the sake of reproduction. Not even the threat of large black-tip sharks (nor divers, for that matter) deter them. Amazing discoveries such as this are happening every day at the University of Marine Science Institute.
