UT Summer Science is an exciting, inquiry-based learning experience for students entering 3rd through 8th grade. Working alongside marine scientists from the University of Texas, students will experience science outside of the classroom. By the end of the program, students will gain a deep personal appreciation for the marine environment, become aware of local and global threats, learn to solve complex problems using the scientific method and understand what it truly means to be a scientist.

Possible activities include kayaking, working with ROV and drone technology, trips to San Jose Island and/or on the R/V Katy, and animal dissections! (**please note: activities and lessons for 2017 are not yet confirmed and subject to change**)

Young Scientists will can enroll in our week long program starting in February 2017. Dates for Summer 2017 are:
      - Week 1: June 5-9
      - Week 2 : June 12-16
      - Week 3: June 19-23
      - Week 4: June 26-30

The curriculum will be different for Weeks 1 and 2, then repeat for Weeks 3 and 4. Therefore, young scientists are encouraged to sign up for one week only or two weeks with different content: Weeks 1 & 2 or Weeks 3 & 4.

 2017 Themes:
