Last week UTMSI staff, students and friends celebrated the holidays in their 4th Annual Library Arts and Crafts Holiday Party. The art theme this year was marine debris and the UTMSI Green Team sponsored an art contest. There were over 11 entries and it was a fun way to celebrate the holidays and help raise awareness about the impact and danger of litter and plastic pollution to our marine and coastal environments. Awards were chosen by the party participants (<50). This year, award winners were Katie Swanson for first place, Colleen McCue for second place, and Rae Mooney for third place.
